Capt. Keith is currently living in Peru South America and is the President of Association Mares Del Sur a Peruvian Non –Profit, established for the purpose of researching Colonial Period Spanish Shipwrecks, and training the Peruvians in Post Graduate courses in Marine Archaeology.

Military, Retired after 21 years in the US Navy Special warfare, EOD teams,
Assignments took him to all parts of the globe on various missions, to include US Secret Service support of President Regan and VP Bush during the 1980’s Responded to Foreign and Domestic Explosive Ordnance and homemade bombs.
US Department of State, Anti-terrorism Instructor training Police and military from 15 countries around the world to locate Render safe explosive devices. Was in Colombia the Day Pablo Escobar was shot dead in Medellin Colombia.
US Coast Guard Merchant Marine Officer, Master 25 years, operated various Vessels along the Atlantic coast, Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, and the Pacific oceans. In the British West Indies, he operated the Little Cayman Diver a Live Aboard Diving Vessel. Tim Ecott a former BBC Reporter was writing a book on diving and he was interviewing divers, and researching various dive destinations around the world. Tim and the skipper spent a lot of time talking and diving bloody bay wall during his stay on board in the Cayman Islands.
After returning to Florida Capt. Keith received a call from Tim who was in London, asking the Captain to coordinate a meeting at the Navy’s Experimental Diving Unit in Panama City Florida, Tim wanted to interview Bob Bart the first Undersea Habitat diver who was under the Ocean in the Navy’s Sea Lab II when the Gemini V Space capsule was orbiting the earth in the 60’s. Gordon Cooper was pilot, Cape Canaveral operations linked both interspase and outer space capsules so they could communicate. This made history; the Captain was featured in Tim Ecott’s new book “Neutral Buoyancy…” The Captain has “Many Sea Stories!” Member of the Underwater Archaeological team with the Department State of Florida’s
Division of Historical Resources, Project Sea Captain and Diving Safety Officer for the State of Florida, collected History and mapped 5 historical shipwrecks in the Gulf of Mexico and later participated in a Joint project with the University of West Florida and DOS of Florida organized to excavate the oldest Spanish Shipwreck in Florida’s waters, named the Emanuel Point Shipwreck in Pensacola Bay.
A team of 3 PhD’s, an undergrad Archaeologist and the captain established the underwater Archaeology program at the University. Participated in publishing 3 field reports and the Investigative report on the Emanuel Point wreck which turned out to be the first attempt by Spain to settle the New World in 1559. University of West Florida’s Diving Safety board Chair and Diving Safety officer for Marine Biology and Underwater programs. Established the first Scientific Diving program at the University. Students made over 2000 dives on scientific related projects without one single accident or mishap.
